Council Crest

Sited on a sunny, steep hillside, this AIA merit award winning home, designed by Risa Boyer Architecture and built by Don Tankersley & Co. takes in views of the council crest tower and hills beyond. We used three levels of sweeping, steel retaining walls to contain the geometry of the architecture. The upper level, closest to the house, is planted in a naturalistic style with grasses and perennials. The middle layer provides a visual break from the variety, planted with a textural, green eco-lawn. The lowest level mirrors the upper, with grasses and perennials, as well as trees to provide a layer of privacy. Other areas of the garden are planted with native and climate-adapted shrubs, perennials and grasses. Planted: Spring, 2024. Landscape Contractor: Custom Yard Construction.
