Selected / Riverside Garden

In collaboration with Perennial Partners

Create a textural garden that fits the context of the abundant agricultural setting.

The 1920’s architecture of the home is low and wide much like the surrounding views. To preserve these views and to provide a natural context for the home we designed a long, curvilinear ornamental grass border. The grass border draws the eye in which creates an ‘in the garden’ feeling. We carefully arranged the various heights of grasses to provide privacy and retain the view of the orchard. The adjacent gardens are planted with sweeps of evergreen and deciduous plants arranged in wave-like patterns that weave planting beds together much like the flow of the river. Other gardens on the property include a swimming pool garden.
